January - Festival of the City to celebrate Merida's birthday.
February - Carnaval! A week of parades and partying in the streets.
March - Women's Day and usually a Film Festival or two
April - Semana Santa (Easter) and Baseball Season begins. Yucatan has a winning team!
May - Mother's Day is a big day in Mexico and the Yucatan
June - Cultural Spring Festival
July - The action moves to Progreso and the beach communities
August - School starts in mid-August and everyone returns from the beach
September - The Yucatan Symphony is in season!
October - Fall Cultural Festival (Otoño Cultural)
November - The Yucatan Bird Festival brings people from around the world.
December - Virgin of Guadalupe Day on the 12th, and posadas leading up to Christmas.
